TOPICS AND SUB-TOPICS
Create your own topics and sub-topics. They are created as sets. (Support - Guideline) (Arrest - Suspicion) (Discovery - Work Product) They can be created at one time or on the fly. When the reports are printed, the topics and sub-topics are printed in order with all cases with the same topics and sub-topics listed together.
LEGAL SUMMARY AND CITATION
You can create the legal summary by typing the summary, or by copying the legal point from the document you are reading to the window's clipboard and then pasting it into the legal note. The program makes provision to carry forward the citation, topic, and sub-topic, in case have several different small summaries which have the same citation.
DETAILED SEARCH
Now that you have all of the legal notes recorded what do you do? The program has a detailed word search with options of searching one or all of the entry fields. The search is by word or phrase and as you type each word, you will see the number of matches found in the data searched. Once the program locates all of the hits, you can view and choose the summaries which you want to keep and report or you can report all of the hits. The results can be both printed, or added to another separate research file.
COPY TO YOUR BRIEF
As you are writing your brief or paper, you can type the parts of the research which is pertinent to the idea you are trying to describe and the points which are valid considerations of that idea. The program can copy a citation to the windows clipboard and into your paper, or it can copy the notes you wrote along with the legal citation.
