Trial Scheduling Order
The trial scheduling deadlines will tell at a glance the discovery deadlines and the pretrial settings for the case. There is a time and date computer which will give you the resulting date when you add or subtract a number of days from a date. You now have no excuse for missing a discovery or other trial scheduling date.
Case Pleadings, Motions, and Discovery
Pleadings, Motions and Discovery can be inserted in a three ring or other binder behind a numeric tab. The then are indexed by the numeric tab, the date they were filed, and by the title of the instrument. Once located in the appropriate index, you only have to look under that tab number to find the instrument. Then too, you have ample space to make any notation about the instrument that you wish to remember.
Witnesses
The witness section of the program is a little different. Of course it has the space for the name, address and telephone number of the witnesses. However you can classify the witness as an expert or fact witness. There is an entry field for the description of the witness that you will make known in your discovery responses, and a section where you will make more detailed notations about the testimony that you do not want to share, as well as whether or not you anticipate that a deposition will be taken. The program will create a discovery listing of the fact witnesses and the expert witnesses from the data you enter with little effort on your part.
Trial Exhibits
Trial exhibits are always somewhat troublesome. Not only must you decide and prepare your exhibits, but you have to keep track of whether or not they have been properly furnished in discovery before trial. There is nothing more humiliating than to have your exhibit not admitted because you did not give proper notice of it. And then there is the list that the Court always wants before trial. Not only does the program make this easy, it will print a list that you can add to as the trial progresses and mark whether discovered, offered, or admitted.
